1. BERRIES!

From Blueberries to Raspberries to Cranberries to Acai, all these berries are good for you as they are a source of natural vitamins, minerals, fibers and anti-oxidants. Berries can also be effective in treating various digestive and immune-related disorders, for example; Urinary Tract Infection which is common amongst women both young and old.
2. YOGHURT (AND KEFIR)

Yoghurt is rich in calcium, Vitamin Bs and minerals like phosphorus, magnesium and potassium which are essential for some biological processes like regulating blood pressure, metabolism and bone health.
Kefir on the other hand is similar to yoghurt but has a much thinner consistency. Kefir is traditionally made from cow's milk, and for those with Lactose Intolerant, they consume Kefir better than yoghurt due to its fermentation process of lactose by bacteria. Today, many kefir products are made from non-dairy products like coconut milk, rice milk and coconut water.
3. EGGS

Historically, eggs have been quite a controversial topic due to their high cholesterol content however, it is also one of the most healthiest foods. Loaded in high-quality protein, eggs are also rich in Vitamin B and A, iron, phosphorus, choline and selenium. Eggs are also known to protect our vision and eye health as they contain potent anti-oxidants known as zeaxanthin and lutein. Research have indicated that eating eggs regularly will not increase your risk of any heart disease or diabetes.
4. NUTS AND SEEDS

Nuts and seeds are rich in fiber, vegetarian protein and healthy fats. They are also very anti-inflammatory and have anti-oxidant properties. Eating nuts and seeds can protect you from heart disease. Some nuts and seeds that are common are; almonds, pecans, pistachios, walnuts, cashews, peanuts, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, flaxseeds and hemp seeds. Some of these nuts and seeds aids in weight loss as it provides a balanced diet due to their healthy fat and fibers.
5. SEAWEED

Seaweed, a term used to describe a nutrient-rich sea vegetables and it's most commonly used in Asian cuisine but also gaining popularity in other parts of the world because of its nutritional value. Seaweeds are full of Vitamin K, folate, iodine and fiber. Some of these compounds can decrease your risk of cancer, heart disease, obesity and diabetes.
