For this month's trending topic, the first trend is focused on Oversized and Non-body hugging styles from Resort 2020 to Pre Fall 2020 Collections.


Isabel Marant Pre Fall 2020


A balance between comfort and practical cuts and silhouettes, Isabel Marant's Pre Fall collection are mixed with knits, exaggerated shoulders, high-waisted trousers and unstructured dresses. To Marant, she wanted to make clothes that were comfortable but still beautiful without being complicated.



Stella McCartney Resort 2020


With the title for this collection as "Forces For Nature", you can tell that McCartney was inspired by Nature. Hand-drawn drawings of flowers and nature elements are what makes this collection unique. From peonies to wisterias to primrose, these are some flowers that were drawn in this collection. All the garments of this collection were made of 60 percent sustainable fabrics like sustainable viscose, recycled polyester, organic cotton and many more.



Bottega Veneta Resort 2020

For Bottega Veneta's collection, it was more focused on slouchy and non-body hugging silhouettes. Inspired by Milan's Industrial Design culture, this collection was a mix of both menswear and womenswear, with trench coats and denim jeans with its diagonal bottom. Let's not forget the bags, as most of it were oversized leather bags.



Creatures of the Wind Spring 2020 Ready-To-Wear


With a mix of different eras, from baggy t-shirts and oversized polo-like shirts, 1970's leather jackets, a 1940's mouton coat and many others. Another statement piece was their bags as they were an oversized leather shoulder bags with images on them, and some even had a crocodile-like leather.



Balenciaga Spring 2020 Ready-To-Wear


An exaggeration on the shoulders were the main point throughout the Balenciaga collection. From tracksuit jackets to dresses and even blouses, all had wider shoulder and a boxy silhouettes. According to Demna Gvasalia, this collection is the subject of both "power dressing and fashion uniforms".



Alexander Wang Spring 2020 Ready-To-Wear


With wider, curvier top and a narrow bottom, this combination of outfits gave it a mix of Power Suits with a touch of femininity. With corduroys, flannel plaids, logo t-shirts, bold shoulders, this collection feels like a mix of different brands put together.
