Updated: Apr 9, 2020

This week's trend is on Floral Prints. From small prints to 3D hand embroidered flowers, here are some brands that have floral elements in their collections.

Christian Dior Spring 2020 Ready-To-Wear

Christian Dior’s Spring 2020 collection on the other hand, was inspired by sustainability. Working with Coloco, a Paris-based environmental design collective, Maria Grazia Chiuri wanted to feature their urban green living ideas through her runway show. There were 3D flowers, lace, embroidered elements and sheer fabrics throughout her collection that made it more interesting, as it provided viewers with different flow of movement to her outfits.

Erdem Spring 2020 Ready-To-Wear

For Erdem, colours and feminine silhouettes were the main point for this collection. It had more of a Romantic feeling as models walked the runway with scarves and hats. Floral prints on blouses, ruffled and tiered, skirts and dresses also made it feel as if they are part of a walking art show in a park during Spring.

Simone Rocha Spring 2020 Ready-To-Wear

With prints similar to China tea sets, tablecloths and wallpapers from the 1940s, Simone Rocha took inspiration from the background of Celtic Europeans. With an occurring of layered ruffles and tiered dresses and skirts, with delicate fabrics that represented tablecloths and prints that copied the wallpapers in houses. This collection will take you to inside the life of another culture and time-frame.

Prabal Gurung Spring 2020 Ready-To-Wear

From casual looks to formal styles, Prabal Gurung's Spring 2020 collection had swirls of colours and prints from bold reds to pastel pinks and purples. Outfits ranged from casual dresses to skirts to gowns made for a ball. The floral elements came in different styles from embroidered flowers to printed roses to watercolour-like flowers.

Marc Jacobs Spring 2020 Ready-To-Wear

Like another dimension of Alice in Wonderland, Marc Jacobs's collection had different elements of tulle, silk, sparkle, flowers prints and unexpected silhouettes. This collection was by far what most would say as an "Instagrammable" collection for most women.

Jason Wu Spring 2020 Ready-To-Wear

Unlike Marc Jacobs, Jason Wu's collection is simple, taking his inspiration from the Summer Break with wrap dresses, floral prints, a hint of colour, and lighter fabric that can be seen through the photos. Perfect for your Summer getaway!
